ROCKY MOUNTAIN LAND SERVICES WAS STARTED IN 1985 IN RESPONSE TO A NEED FOR A HIGHER QUALITY OF SERVICE AND PRODUCT THAN WAS PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE IN THE PIKES PEAK REGION.  DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE LOCAL ECONOMY TOOK A SIGNIFICANT DOWNTURN IN THE SUBSEQUENT YEARS, WE CONTINUED TO GROW AND ESTABLISHED THE COMPANY AS ONE OF THE PREMIER LAND SURVEYING FIRMS IN THE AREA.  AS THE ECONOMY REBOUNDED ROCKY MOUNTAIN LAND SERVICES WAS IN AN EXCELLENT POSITION TO GROW AND EXCEL.

CURRENTLY, WE EMPLOY A REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR ON STAFF, CHRISTOPHER THOMPSON, PRESIDENT (29 YEARS OF SURVEYING IN COLORADO). WE ARE SPECIALIZED IN ALL FACETS OF COMMERCIAL SURVEYING.  WE ALSO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES ON A CONTRACT BASIS.  WE OPERATE THREE TO FOUR SURVEYING CREWS WITH AN OFFICE STAFF CONSISTING OF AN OFFICE MANAGER, OFFICE ASSISTANT AND TWO AUTOCAD DRAFTSMAN TO SUPPORT THE FIELD CREWS.   EACH CREW IS EQUIPPED WITH 4-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES, SOKKIA TOTAL STATIONS, SDR 33 DATA COLLECTORS, MOBILE TELEPHONES, TWO WAY RADIOS, 32X AUTOMATIC LEVELS AND OTHER SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT.  THE OFFICE IS COMPLETELY COMPUTERIZED UTILIZING AUTOCAD VERSION 14 AND SOFTDESK (ADCADD) SURVEYING SOFTWARE.  

THROUGHOUT THESE FIFTEEN YEARS WE HAVE ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS WITH MANY OF COLORADO SPRINGS' LARGEST HOME BUILDERS, DEVELOPERS, CONTRACTORS AND PRIVATE CITIZENS.  WE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD THESE RELATIONSHIPS AND SATISFY ALL OF OUR CLIENTS NEEDS.

 SUMMARY:

CHRISTOPHER THOMPSON HAS BEEN IN THE SURVEYING FIELD FOR TWENTY-NINE YEARS.  HIS EXPERIENCE INCLUDES AERIAL SURVEYS, AIRPORT SURVEYS, BOUNDARIES, BUILDING AND UTILITY LAYOUTS, ENGINEERING DESIGN SURVEYS, IMPROVEMENT SURVEYS, MINING CLAIMS, PLAN AND PROFILES, SECTION BREAKDOWNS, SUBDIVISIONS  (FROM BOUNDARY TO CONSTRUCTION STAKING AS WELL AS DESIGN), AND TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS.  HIS EMPLOYMENT HAS PRIMARILY INVOLVED COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL LAND DEVELOPMENT AND SUBDIVISION WORK. THIS EXPERIENCE INCLUDES THE PREPARATION OF HUNDREDS OF SUBDIVISION PLATS, EASEMENT DOCUMENTS AND THE APPURTENANT GRANT OF EASEMENTS AND OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS AS REQUIRED FOR ALL TYPES OF LAND DEVELOPMENT.  

IN ADDITION HE HANDLES CLIENT REPRESENTATION, PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT, ALL PHASES OF COMPUTATION AND DRAFTING, AND ALL TASKS PERTINENT TO THE OPERATION OF A PRIVATE LAND SURVEYING ENTERPRISE.
